HOW TO APPLY A MOBILE SKIN: STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

Supplies & Tools You'll Need
Clean & Degrease Your Smartphone Body
Turn off your phone. Use the included alcohol wipe to thoroughly wipe away all fingerprints, grease, and pocket lint from the rear glass and camera visor. Follow immediately with the dry microfiber cloth until the glass is completely pristine and dry.
Align the Camera Bump & Top Sensors First
Peel approximately 30% of the skin from the 3M backing paper. Fold the backing paper underneath to expose only the top portion. Carefully align the skin cutouts around the camera lens rings and LED flash. Because 3M adhesive is pressure-activated, you can gently lift and reposition until your alignment is 100% centered.
Roll Down the Back Plate & Align Bottom Ports
Slowly peel the remaining backing paper while using your thumb or a microfiber cloth to smooth the skin down the spine of the phone. Push outward from the center to expel any air through the 3M micro-release channels. Verify that the bottom speaker grilles and charging port cutouts align precisely.
Apply Hairdryer Heat to Mold Corners & Edges
This is the essential step for factory-grade perfection! Set your household hairdryer on medium heat and hold it 10–15 cm away from one corner for 5 to 7 seconds. As the vinyl warms, it will soften and stretch slightly. Use your thumb to firmly wrap and rub the softened vinyl around the curved corner until it seals seamlessly against the chassis. Repeat for all 4 corners.

🔥 Medium Heat, Not High
Keep your hairdryer 10–15 cm away on medium setting for 5 seconds. Overheating can stretch the vinyl beyond factory shape.
🧽 Microfiber Rubbing Friction
After heating a corner, rub it firmly with your dry microfiber cloth for 30 seconds. Friction locks the 3M pressure adhesive permanently.
📷 Camera Island Cutouts
Apply the separate camera visor piece last. Align using the primary lens ring before pressing down on the flash cutout.
Common Application Pitfalls to Avoid
- Do NOT pull or stretch cold vinyl: Pulling cold vinyl will cause it to deform. Only stretch gently when heated.
- Do NOT touch the sticky adhesive side with oily fingers: Natural finger grease degrades the adhesive bonding at the edges.
- Do NOT rush peeling: Keep the backing paper underneath the skin until your top alignment is 100% verified.
